Ceci + Michael-St. Paul Engagement Session
Most first dates, they felt like interviews, pressure, and long aqward pauses when the check finally arrives. But not Michael she gushed. The pair still jokes about how it was something out of a movie. They had common ground, shared chemistry, and engaged in deep conversations. It was effortless. By nights end, Ceci realized that Michael had become the most interesting man in the room.
His handsome smile and kind eyes made their way into her workplace only once a week, but every time Ceci saw him she felt undeniably giddy. The pair goofed around, they flirted, they laughed and even when they were in a crowded room, once glance in each others direction and they felt as if they were sharing a secret. The chemistry between them was evident even to their coworkers. Eventually, Michael would transfer full time to the day program in Blaine and Ceci would observe his compassion for serving and caring for vulnerable adults with disabilities first hand.
It was challenging work, hard even, stressful at times. It was thankless and underfunded but to Ceci and Michael, it was soul-affirming, rewarding work and slowly the pair bonded and began to talk more frequently and spend more time together. It was exactly the kind of work that proved to deepen their friendship and eventually their love after Michael finally mustered up the courage to ask Ceci out months later on that special first date.
They had fallen in love with the deepest parts of their hearts and in August this year, the two will wed at the St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
Michael has a way of making Ceci smile in an instant, and her adoration is evident…
