Amber + Dakota Intimate Duluth, MN Elopement
Her face lit up the screen. He couldn't help but stare, he was mesmerized. The knockout looked into the camera with her blue eyes and reassuring smile and Dakota knew he had to get to know her. After a little convincing, Dakota managed to get Amber's Snapchat handle from their mutual friend Tim and wasted no time introducing himself and learning everything he possibly could about the beautiful mystery woman.
Slowly Dakota found himself losing track of time when he talked to Amber. He looked forward to her snaps, and the rush of excitement he felt every time she flirted back. He didn't have to worry about what they would talk about in person because Amber was the kind of girl that made conversation effortless. She was captivating, supportive, everything the Navy boy was looking for in a woman.
And when Amber followed Dakota to Virginia to watch him reenlist, the military boy got down on one knee and asked Amber to marry him. The two were married in a park in Duluth that overlooked the water. It was the perfect venue for their intimate "I do's" performed by Amber's brother.
Their reception, held at the Northeastern Hotel in Cloquet, was the perfect mix of eclectic and vintage with the old pinball table and the antique woodwork finishing. It was the perfect spot to house the couple's celebration with an intimate gathering of their closest friends and family.
I was honored to document their first day as husband and wife and I'll end on this photo because it’s the perfect depiction of Dakota and Amber’s love: intimate, warm, and real.
