Jessica + Matt-Stillwater Engagement
Of all the bartenders Matt had met, Jessica stood out with her red hair, piercing brown eyes and her fiery personality. Over the course of months, the loyal patron conversed in pleasantries with the pretty bartender and through time, Jessica drew him out of his quiet shell, and those dialogs turned more frequent and relaxed.
Jessica noticed Matt instantly when he sauntered in with two of her regulars, and she paid attention to how he was always trying to make her laugh...or roll her eyes at him.
They shared a love of adventure, of open roads and the great outdoors and an ice house 4-10 miles into Red Lake became the source of many of their grand adventures. Every Valentine's day, they'd rent that little fishing shack-Matt would cook, and Jessica would beat him at a hand of cards- together settling into the silence of the woods.
And in the silence that was comfortable, in the moments in between, in the tiny little everyday ordinary nothings that made up their lives together, Matt knew there was no other place he'd rather be. One special February tucked inside the ice hut, Jessica opened the door find it bathed in candlelight, with Matt down on one knee and he was asking her four simple words, "Will you marry me?"
It was easy to see why these two work so well together during their engagement session in Stillwater, MN. Matt's steady demeanor is the perfect balance to Jessica's magnetism.
They braved the cold for part of their session and tucked away inside the Water Street Inn where Jessica used to work, to enjoy a beverage while they warmed up.
I'll end on this note, unlike the cloudy drab sky that made its way into the background, this couple's future is anything but foggy! I can't wait for their wedding this September!
