They met on a roller rink, under the fluorescent lights and a mirror ball. Just high school kids, Dan noticed Ashley’s blue eyes and bright, bubbly smile and knew she was different. He was intrigued, but It would take him two years before their friendly relationship blossomed into a romantic one.

One of the best things about Dan is his ability to make Ashley laugh at a moments notice; she’s truly smitten with him. And it was that very ability when Ashley’s world was rocked by the devastation of losing both her parents in short succession, that she knew she’d found the one. Dan was by her side when she said her last goodbyes to her parents, and he had a way of bringing the color back into her life during a time when everything felt gray.

Just before their ten year anniversary, the couple booked their first flight together to New York City, and while taking in the beautiful scenery, Dan got down on one knee and proposed to Ashley in Central Park. 

Ashley and Dan decided to take it back to where it all began for their engagement session and strapped on skates to meet once again under the disco ball where they shared their first dance. 

I’m honestly not sure who had more fun during their engagement shoot, them or me! Now I just have to prepare myself to be at their wedding with a bouquet (and not a camera) in my hand.
